Overview
Human Immunoglobulin M Fc5mu (IgM Fc5mu) is available in bulk quantities, from 10,000 mg single lot sizes.
Custom preparations, technical support, bulk quantities and aliquoting available, email Info@leebio.com for more details.
Immunoglobulin M forms polymers where multiple immunoglobulins are covalently linked together with disulfide bonds, normally as a pentamer or occasionally as a hexamer. IgM is by far the physically largest antibody in the circulation. Due to its polymeric nature, it possesses high avidity, and is particularly effective at complement activation.
IgM is the class of immunoglobulin characterized by heavy chains and is the first immunoglobulin to appear on the surface of B cells and the first to be secreted.
